WTF is vibe coding? At its core, it’s the practice of learning and building by talking to an AI instead of diving directly into the code yourself. You describe what you want, the AI generates the code, and you treat it like a back-and-forth conversation rather than a technical deep dive. There are no textbooks, no formal roadmaps, and no heavy IDE sessions. It’s more about shaping ideas in plain language and letting the AI handle the heavy lifting.
That’s where I’m at right now. My background goes back to 1996 when I built my first website by hand, but these days I’m keeping up by letting the AI do the typing. I’m not using Claude Code or any of the specialized tools yet, just ChatGPT. I explain what I need, see what comes back, and push it forward. It’s a different way of coding, but it keeps me moving.
